galaxies hidden inside your eyes, gentleness in your smile. your happiness ascends from the skies and overthrows my sadness. there is this warmth to your existence, i feel safe with you here. you deserve to be sheltered from every hurt this world has to share. your delicate fingers wipe these endless tears while your voice rhythmically plays upon my eardrums and calms the heaviest waves of fear. please just stay here. i’ll pray for you to stay for as long as you can, holding my trembling hands. may our merciful God protect you from anything that causes your heart to break or your smile to fade. you taught me to fight for what i believe in, to stand with my head held high. i am forever grateful you’re fighting along with me, right by my side. you haven’t had an easy ride, constantly left with the burning desire to prove them wrong and yourself right. i guess i got that from you right? if there was ever a paradise in this broken world, it would be you. for your sweetness makes me forget the harshness of this life and the chaos detonating inside my mind. i’ll forever hold your prayers with me wherever i go, keep your constant praises and words of hope so close. for you, i’ll become the best, i’ll make use of this powerful organ inside my chest. know your love is what gets me through these trials and tests and even after you’ve left, i’ll promise to trust more and to worry less. as for now, i’ll continue to look into your eyes and see your eternal love, kindness and safety combined.
