the beauty of forgiveness

i want you to know there is so much beauty within forgiveness. apologetic words, remorseful thoughts and repentant prayers laced with more meaning than you’ll ever know. understand when i tell you that it doesn’t matter about your past, about everything you’ve done or the struggles you’ve  faced today, as long as your intentions are pure and your heart is too. you’ll endure pain, undergo countless hardships and along each treacherous journey, you’ll come across individuals who’ll continuously test your patience. but my dear, you must learn to accept, you must learn to forgive, to let go of the affliction buried into your soul. you must let it go. if God can forgive you, why must you hold such bitterness and resentment in your heart against another? can you imagine not forgiving someone that God has already forgiven? you see, we are humans, we are error-ridden, we make mistakes, we fall, we do wrong but these are integral parts of growing and learning. understand that God will always forgive you. continuously. sometimes, we may feel low in our faith, likewise, it’s part of growth, about understanding ourselves and understanding the world we were gifted. even the most pious of us have days where we feel distant, when keeping faith or praying becomes strenuous. my dear, you must remember that you can never stray too far from God, you can never be ‘too sinful’ or have done so much damage to never be able to repent to Him. you see, there’s always hope with God, there’s always time to come back so long as you are alive. for He is the Most Merciful, All-Forgiving, please never forget this. now, do you see how beautiful forgiveness can be? do you see how much power and grace it holds? forgiveness comes as a three, we expect forgiveness from everyone else yet we often forget to forgive ourselves. we claim to love but we are in dire need of loving ourselves. remind yourself that forgiveness begins and ends with you. my dear, the journey to forgiveness may be a demanding process, it may take a while, it’ll be exhausting but you must remember that it’s much harder to keep carrying the weight of anger inside your heart.
